Radio stations won’t play “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” anymore and that’s a shame

Do you think “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” is a staple of Christmas music and should continue to be played on the radio? Me too. I’m particularly partial to Dino’s, but also enjoy Zooey Deschanel & Leon Redbone’s version (or Will Ferrell in the movie). But the “cancel culture” is trying to keep this beautiful piece of music from us! To that I say – have you listened to Christmas music?? They all cross lines. And no one should be offended…

For example, one Christmas song contains the lyric “We won’t go until we get some”. If that line alone isn’t worse than the entirety of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”, I don’t know what is. Really makes you think!

Or how ’bout “She didn’t see me creep, Down the stairs to have a peep”. Maybe you can get away with singing this at the age of 11, but not when you’re a grown adult singing to children you’ve just invited to your ranch for the weekend.

Ever heard “With a tail as big as a kite” from the song allegedly loosely based on the nativity of Jesus? Do we know that for sure, or did this writer just think that star must work out?

Here’s a few more:

  • “I’m dreaming of a white Christmas”? Self explanatory
  • “Prospero año y felicidad” Ugh, who even knows what that means??

So let’s stop it with the fake outrage over Christmas music and just enjoy them all!
