Yes, I actually applied for this. Check out these rules:
Rule #1: You don’t like Christmas—you love it.
Um, check! Christmas is my favorite holiday. Plus I’ve literally written 20+ (and counting) Christmas-related blog posts. That includes two made up Hallmark-style movies!
Rule #2: You must be over 18-years-old and be a US resident.
Done and done.
Rule #3: You know how to work the Gram, Twitter, or Facebook. We want someone who’s willing to document their Hallmark marathon with their followers.
What else better do I have to do? Live tweeting is one of my favorite hobbies. I’m all over this!
Then they asked for my favorite Hallmark Christmas movie so I did a quick Google search for a list of them. Okay, maybe I haven’t seen any of them. BUT then I remembered that I watched about 5 minutes of Christmas Cookies last year! So I answered that one. I also added, “Before watching this, I thought Hallmark movies could be mocked or scoffed at. But then I found myself enjoying it!” Little white lie never hurt anyone and it’s at least half true.
Last question was: “What role do Christmas movies play in your holiday traditions?” I gave some classic answer about my family traditions and fond memories, yada yada that I’m sure they’ll eat up…
Here’s hoping they hire me, I could really use that money! Will keep you all posted…
