Use Me – Bill Withers

Bill Withers original is such a great song, but I’m showcasing the Hootie & the Blowfish version as they do an incredible live version. I think DMB could have it sound a little like this.

Because the Night – Bruce Springsteen

Did you know this was co-written by Bruce? Patti of course made it popular but I’m giving you Bruce’s version because I imagine it’d be closer to a Dave one. (But I really like the 10,000 Maniacs cover too)

Give It Away – Red Hot Chili Peppers

Random, I know. But can’t you see Dave and literally every member of the band absolutely getting DOWN to this song? Same.

Texas Flood – Stevie Ray Vaughan

D&T cover songs are especially great, in my opinion, when Tim can go off on the guitar. This song would flaunt his skills so well. I’d love to suggest more popular SRV songs like “Pride and Joy” or even “Slide Thing”, but what separates this is the passion that he has singing it and I think Dave could match that.

Mama Tried – Merle Haggard

I just like this song. And the reason why I give it to D&T is because of the guy at 1:15.

Dave comes out for the first song of the encore and does this, place goes nuts, band comes out they go right into Stay (Wasting Time).
