It’s mid-August, so the 2015-2016 SNL Lottery is well underway. If interested, the official way to enter is to send an email to snltickets@nbcuni.com in the month of August only with all of your contact information. I simply put my home address, phone number and email. Also, I heard it’s helpful if you include your D.O.B., blood type, credit score, SSN and latest credit card statement… Just Kidding! Definitely do not do that.

Personally, I’ve always been curious of the lottery. How random is it really? The second year that I ever put in for tickets was 2011 and I got an email in January 2012 saying that I have been offered 2 tickets for a show in March. Did they know I’d entered before? And did my east coast address make a difference?

Like I’ve said before, you will not receive an email if you are not selected. In their instructions they announce: “Please note that entering the lottery does not guarantee tickets, and you will only be notified in the event that you are chosen.” Pretty straightforward.
