I’d never heard of Aaron Frazer before, and honestly, it’s hard to believe that voice is his—it’s so distinct and soulful. This track feels like a throwback to another era, and I loved every second of it.

Live Learn – The California Honeydrops (2018)

The groove on this song is undeniable. It has a beat that reminds me of a slowed-down version of Good Day by Nappy Roots. It’s smooth, funky, and has me hooked—I’m definitely diving deeper into their catalog.

If You Don’t Want My Love – Jalen Ngonda (2023)

I discovered this gem while listening to Bobby Caldwell Radio on Spotify, and I couldn’t get enough. It’s amazing how something released in 2023 can sound like it stepped straight out of the 70s. The vibe is very reminiscent of Al Wilson’s La La Peace Song from 1974, and I’m here for it.

Blue Rose Stroll – The Dirty Guv’nahs (2010) 

There’s no grand explanation here—it’s just a fun, feel-good track that’s easy to enjoy.

State Line – The Dip (2015)

The Dip is back on my list, and for good reason! Their sound—along with groups like The Honeydrops and Aaron Frazer—is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. This track is no exception.

If It Feels Good (Then It Must Be) – Leon Bridges (2018)

Okkkkkk, Leon! This track is smooth, stylish, and effortlessly cool—a true vibe.

Makin’ Me Look Good Again – Drake White (2016) 

Drake White’s unique voice stands out on this track, and it felt like a must-include. It’s raw and packed with emotion.

Mama Used to Say – Junior (1981) 

This track defies easy categorization—R&B, soul, brit-funk, or maybe even disco-dance? Whatever you call it, it’s an absolute groove with some infectious energy.

Just A Little While – The 502s (2021) 

While I don’t always love Spotify’s curation, they nailed it with this one. It popped up on one of their feel-good playlists, and I’ve been vibing to it ever since.

23 – Chayce Beckham (2021) 

This song is hard to describe—it doesn’t do anything groundbreaking, but sometimes music just hits right. This is one of those tracks.

Mamma Maria – Ricchi E Poveri (1992) 

While traveling in Italy, I heard this song twice, and it’s insanely catchy. I don’t understand a single word, but it didn’t matter—it got stuck in my head for weeks.

Wish You The Best – Lewis Capaldi (2023) 

I’m still on the fence about Lewis Capaldi, but this song is undeniably good. It left an impression.

Help Me Make It Through the Night – Tyler Childers (2023)

This is a cover song of one of my favorite country songs, and Tyler definitely put his own mark on it.

Vivo per lei – Andrea Bocelli, Giorgia (1995) 

Another Italian find from my travels- the vocals and melody are beautiful.

Finally Ready – The Shapeshifters, Billy Porter (2020) 

No playlist of mine is complete without a dance track, and this one nails it. It’s uplifting, infectious, and hits all the right notes.

Turn Your Love Around – George Benson (1981) 

It starts simple, but then the chorus comes on and horns kick in and transform the song into something soulful and electric. A total vibe shift in the best way possible.
