In the first segment of Let’s Bring Back the Remix, I suggested that on many occasions, the remix of a song was better than the original. To further prove my point, I have three more for you. Check these out:
- Fiesta (Remix)
- Ignition (Remix)
- Step in the Name of Love (Remix)
If you couldn’t figure it out, I’ve realized that there is one man who often times remixes his own song, whether he’s by himself or brings in a featured artist, and always does it justice. That man is none other than the King of R&B, R. Kelly. The R. might as well stand for Remix because nobody does it like him. But this time around, I only have one remix suggestion, and that is:
The Hills (Remix) – The Weeknd ft. R. Kelly
Oh yes, that’s right. R. Kelly and the freakin’ Weeknd, baby, we about to have us some fun! Give me this remix all day, everyday, off camera every way. Already a pretty good song, so obviously a remix with the Pied Piper of R&B would take it to a whole new level. They should speed it up a little, change up the lyrics to the chorus, let R. get in on a verse or two, hell maybe even bring in a choir! Make it a straight baby-makin’ jam cuz we all know there’s nothin’ wrong with a little bump and grind.
